ZHdK Grant Awarded to Alfonso

Every year the graduates of every course at the the Zurich University of the Arts are awarded a grant endowed with CHF 5000 that is supposed to support their further studies and promote their outstanding work. This year’s prize winner in the film bachelor course is Alfonso by Jan-Eric Mack (music by Pierre Funck).

Alfonso (19') is a convincing film because of its well-told little story that is a commitment to the redeeming power of the arts and an astonishing recalling of the programme of romanticism. Furthermore, the film excels by its effective acting direction.”
