Two films with music by Pierre Funck have been nominated for Edi.17, the Swiss award for commissioned commercials, industry and corporate films:

• The “Queersicht” film festival trailer (directed by Tamer Ruggli) in the category “commercials – online spots”
• The spot „Time goes by. Quality remains.“ (directed by Janos Menberg, produced by seed) in the category „corporate – brand / image“.

The advertising agency seed has produced this video for Geberit as an opener for client events around the world, with music by Pierre Funck. It tells the heartwarming story of a boy who gets separated from his first love. But quality lasts for decades...

The director was Janos Menberg. The film has been awarded with gold at the New York Festivals 2017 and at the World Media Festival 2017.

Update 29 September 2017: In the 8th Cannes Corporate Media & TV Awards the film has been awarded a Golden Dophin in the category “Fairs, Shows, Events, Conference Openers”. With almost 1000 submissions from around 50 countries every year, the Cannes Corporate Media & TV Awards are one of the most important international festivals for corporate media.

Update 17 May 2018: During the 28th “Internationale Wirtschaftsfilmtage” in Vienna, the film has been awarded the „Prix Victoria in Silver“ in the category “Fairs, Shows, Events, Conference Openers”.

For its 20th jubilee the film festival “Queersicht” has produced a new trailer that took up the aesthetics of the Swiss film Ueli der Knecht (1954).

The film Leonardo by Ilir Hasanaj (music by Pierre Funck) has been screened or will be screened at the following festivals:

• 17th International Izmir film festival (1–6 November)
• Underexposed Film Festival, Rock Hill, South Carolina (2–5 November)
• 14th Tirana International Film Festival (3–11 November)
• 7th Sound and Image Challenge International Festival, Macau, China (6–11 December) 

For its 25-year jubilee the Ensemble Vocal du Luxembourg commissioned three Luxembourgish composers – Ivan Boumans, Pierre Funck and Roland Wiltgen – to write a choral work. The world premiere of “4 Miniaturen aus Koeppels Tierleben” by Pierre Funck will take place on Saturday 12 November at 8:00 p.m. in the auditorium of the Luxembourg Conservatoire.

The film Egon Schiele – Death and the Maiden by Dieter Berner (music by André Dziezuk, additional music by Pierre Funck) will have its world premiere at the Zurich Film Festival.

Pierre Funck’s score for the animation film Flirt by Rahel Gerber has won an award at the 11th Animfest Athens in the category student film. 

The film Leonardo by Ilir Hasanaj (music by Pierre Funck) has won the audience award at the 9th SWIKOS Short Film Festival in Basel.
